Caregiver Support

The Kinship Program provides an opportunity for kinship caregivers, who are the primary caretakers of children whose parents are currently unable to care for them, to experience renewed happiness. The program also works to eliminate barriers to essential resources, while promoting the safety, stability, and well-being of the children.

Eligibility requires one of the following:

• Relative caregivers or non-related extended family members who are receiving DFCS and/or Probation Supervision in Los Angeles County
• Relative caregivers who have obtained guardianship through the Los Angeles Superior Court – Probate
• Relative caregivers providing care for a child in a temporary situation who are not currently involved with DCFS (informal caregivers)
