Silver Celebration and Solid Footing: AVPH Marks 25 Years with Community Fest and New Hub

The Antelope Valley pulsed with community spirit on June 1st, 2024, as Antelope Valley Partners for Health (AVPH) commemorated a quarter-century of service with a vibrant 25th-anniversary Summerfest. The event drew over 2,000 attendees who connected with a diverse array of 98 local vendors. Community organizations and non-profits stood alongside local businesses and enticing food providers, creating a lively atmosphere brimming with activities, valuable resources, and exciting giveaways. Attendees walked away with prizes from various vendors, and AVPH itself contributed to the excitement by distributing gift baskets and branded merchandise.
Summerfest also highlighted the meaningful impact of AVPH’s diverse programs, showcasing their vital contributions to the community. The Youth department orchestrated energetic bike races and soccer matches, while the Kinship program brought friendly competition with cornhole. Notably, the CPHT program offered a timely cooling center, a crucial resource during the warmer months.
This successful celebration underscores AVPH’s enduring commitment to the health and well-being of the Antelope Valley. For 25 years, the organization has diligently worked to expand its reach, address critical needs within the community, and advocate for a healthier future for all its residents.
Adding to this milestone, AVPH is solidifying its presence with a new building – a tangible symbol of their ongoing dedication. This new hub promises to be a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals and families seeking vital support. AVPH offers a comprehensive range of services designed to empower the community, including emotional wellness support, youth supportive services, caregiver support, home visitation services, workforce development initiatives, free minor home repairs, crucial health education, individualized and family support, and a vital food distribution program.
The success of the Summerfest was made possible in part by the generous support of key sponsors: Learn4Life, Northrop Grumman, Burnham Benefits Insurance, Kaiser Permanente, Palmdale Regional, Cedars Sinai, Waste Management, Child Care Resource Center, LA Family Housing, and ER Hospital Group. Their partnership highlights the collaborative spirit essential to fostering a thriving Antelope Valley.
As AVPH embarks on its next chapter, the organization remains steadfast in its mission to strengthen the health and well-being of the Antelope Valley. With a strong foundation built over 25 years and a new facility to expand its reach, AVPH is poised to continue making a significant and positive impact on the lives of countless individuals and families in the years to come.
