Workforce Development

This program is designed to support individuals who have experienced homelessness, are currently homeless, or are at risk of becoming homeless.

Participants in the LA Rise Program are offered 300 hours of hands-on work training, which takes place at our temporary building at AVPH. While this is not a permanent position, the goal is to help individuals secure stable employment, so participants are encouraged to actively seek job opportunities during their time in the program.

Some of the job duties include:

• Front desk assistance
• Building maintenance
• Setting up and cleaning up for events
• Assisting at our food pantry
• Loading, unloading, sorting, and distributing donations
